Installing the Dolphin USB Drivers

This topic provides instructions for installing the Dolphin USB drivers on a Windows workstation. You must install the drivers before using your Dolphin.

  1. Download either the 32-bit driver installer or the 64-bit driver installer to your desktop.
  2. Double-click either Dpinstx86.exe (32-bit) or DPInstx64.exe (64-bit) to launch the installer application.
  3. On the first dialog, click Next. The installer automatically installs both drivers.
When the installation is complete, the installer displays the message, "Congratulations! You are finished installing the FSC HHP Dolphin USB Homebase Drivers". Click Finish.
  4. Connect the power supply cable to the HomeBase and to a power outlet. When the Dolphin unit is in the HomeBase, the green dock light should light up.
  5. Connect the HomeBase to the computer using the USB cable. Windows displays a series of informational messages in the system tray informing you that the system found the two components. The final message states, "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use."

You are now ready to use the Dolphin USB HomeBase with the Dolphin File Transfer utility.
