Unsearchable Words

The Destiny Administrator can manage the words patrons cannot search for while using Library Manager, which includes:

  • Destiny Back Office
  • Destiny Discover
  • Collections by Destiny®
  • Destiny Discover Android and iOS apps
  • WebPath Express™
  • One Search

When adding words, adhere to the following:

  • Enter each word once - duplicate words are not allowed.
  • To include the singular and plural of a word, add two entries.
  • Non-alpha characters are not allowed.

Note: Any words added to the list will apply to all roles and sites throughout the district.

To add an unsearchable word:

  1. Log in to Destiny as the Destiny Administrator.
  2. Select Setup > District Options.
  3. Next to District "Unsearchable" Words, click Edit.
  4. In the Add Unsearchable Word field, enter a word you want to add.
  5. Click Save.

Words in the list appear in the Current Unsearchable Words section. You can click edit Edit icon. to modify a word or Delete icon. to delete a word.

If you want to have a list of common words, such as a, an, the, use the stop words list.
